New Procedures

WHAT IS HAPPENING?

We successfully launched our first swim camp of the summer last week. Due to the success we had last week we now feel confident to open the rest of our summer. We will continue to offer daily 2-week swim camps (Monday-Thursday beginning the week of June 15th.  We will also offer a limited once weekly class on Mondays and Thursdays June 15-August 6.

WHY IS IT HAPPENING?

As of 5/21/20, Governor Ricketts officially announced that Lancaster County has moved into Phase 2.  Per the updated guidelines: Some large gatherings can resume.  Indoor and outdoor venues can hold events of up to 25 patrons and/or 25% of capacity (excluding staff).  This includes zoo’s, indoor and outdoor entertainment venues, swimming pools and large conference rooms. Groups shall be no larger than 6 individuals and 6 feet of separation between groups must be maintained.  With these restrictions in place we will still be able to offer our small class sizes of 4 per class but will not be offering as many classes each half hour.  We will only have 5 classes in our pool room instead of the 7 that are normally ran per half hour.  We will have 6 feet of separation between each group (class).  The CDC has stated that there is no evidence that the virus that causes COVID-19 can be spread to people through the water in pools, hot tubs, spas or water play areas.  Along with the disinfecting effects of chlorine being present in the water we also have a state-of-the-art UV system that our pool water is being filtered through at 220 gallons per minute. Given the information received from the CDC our professional swim instructors will be offering hands on instruction and we will group our students together according to age and skill set.  We will make sure that all safety measures both in and out of the water are practiced for the safety of your children, our staff and parents.
