When you register, you are reserving a spot that is in high demand. By reserving this spot you are agreeing to pay for your reserved spot, independent of your child’s attendance. It is your responsibility to make sure that any other conflicts do not interfere with your swim time.

FULL POLICIES

COVID:

I acknowledge that my family is voluntarily participating in this group activity during the COVID-19 pandemic and knowingly assume all risks involved. I agree to closely monitor my child and family and will not participate in group swim lessons if any of us show symptoms of the following: cough, fever, chest congestion, headache, or any other early symptoms related to COVID-19. If I, my child, or any member of our family has been in contact with persons suspected of or are positive for COVID-19, or are being tested or quarantined for COVID-19 during the duration of the scheduled swim session, we willingly agree not to attend group swim lessons. I understand and accept no refunds, credits, or make-up lessons will be offered.

Health Risks:

If your child has had ANY symptoms of DIARRHEA AND LOOSE STOOLS within the past 24 hours, they are NOT allowed to swim due to the health risk to others if there is a fecal accident in the pool. Microscopic amounts of infected fecal matter can contaminate an entire pool and make others sick if they swallow the water. According to the Lincoln Lancaster County Health Department, Cryptosporidium, the most common type of bacteria in diarrhea, cannot be killed quickly and can take up to 24 hours to get the chlorine level back to normal. Our UV pool system is proven to kill cryptosporidium along with other harmful bacteria and viruses. Utilizing both chlorine and UV allows us to use lower chemical content while effectively killing bacteria, fungi, and viruses.

Payments:

I consent to the monthly payment plan agreed upon by both parties, LifeSTROKES LLC and myself, to be debited from my account on the first day of each month for the 2024 Fall Session. In the event of a government-mandated closure, no refunds or credits will be given for payments made prior to the closure and all future payments within the mandated closure timeline will be suspended. Once the mandate is lifted and lessons resume, all payments will return to the agreed-upon monthly schedule with the prorated amount adjusted for missed lessons during the suspended timeframe. If you choose to not return to your regularly scheduled lesson, under no circumstance will credits or refunds will be given.

Withdrawal Policy:

If you withdraw from classes two weeks prior to the first day of the session starting, (not 2 weeks prior to the first date of your lesson) we will issue a full refund/cancel further monthly payments. If you withdraw the week before the session starting, a one-time payment in the amount of ½ the session will be processed immediately. If you withdraw the week that the session begins or thereafter, a one-time payment for the full amount will be processed immediately. When you register for swim classes you are reserving a spot for your child that is in high demand. By reserving this spot, you are agreeing to pay for your day and time, independent of your child’s attendance. It is your responsibility to make sure that your personal conflicts, such as vacations, appointments, and other activities do not interfere with your swim time.

Make-up Lessons/Refunds:

To maintain the integrity of our classes, both to content and to size, we do not offer make-up lessons or refunds for any reason. This includes illness, other children’s activities, vacations, etc. We have found this policy provides the highest quality experience for your child. If your child has been given doctor’s orders to not participate in swim lessons, with the exception of COVID, a medical credit can be applied to the next session only otherwise the credit is forfeited.

Prorating:

You can join lessons at any time and the cost of the session will be prorated. We do not prorate for personal conflicts such as illness or vacation.

Weather/Unforeseen Circumstance Cancellation:

If our classes are canceled due to weather conditions and/or other unforeseen circumstances, you WILL be contacted via text message or phone call. In addition, an update on Facebook and Instagram will be posted with our notice of the cancellation no later than one hour before the beginning of the first class. We do NOT follow the same closings as LPS, nor do we close for lightning as our pool is grounded. Credits or refunds will NOT be given for weather and/or unforeseen circumstance cancellations.

Swim Diapers:

All children under the age of three, or over the age of three, but not fully potty trained, MUST wear a reusable cloth swim diaper with tight-fitting elastic waist and legs. It MUST be a snug fit to contain a fecal accident. DO NOT size up! Disposable swim diapers are allowed only when layered under a reusable cloth swim diaper. Reusable cloth swim diapers are available for purchase at the front desk for $15.

Fecal Accident:

In the instance of a fecal accident, the Lincoln Lancaster County Health Department and Center for Disease Control require a closing of the pool for 30 minutes to 24 hours. If your student’s class is canceled due to a fecal accident, a credit will be applied to your account.

Photo/Video Release:

I hereby grant permission to the rights of mine, my participating children, and all family members’ image, likeness, and sounds of our voice as recorded on audio or video tape without payment or any other consideration. I understand that our images may be edited, copied, exhibited, published, distributed, or electronically displayed, and waive the right to inspect or approve the finished product wherein my likeness appears. Additionally, I waive any right to royalties or other compensation arising or related to the use of my image or recording. I also understand that this material may be used in diverse educational settings within an unrestricted geographic area. I will be consulted about the use of the photographs or video recording for any purpose other than those listed above. There is no time limit on the validity of this release nor is there any geographic limitation on where these materials may be distributed.
